A recurring workshop series at USF bringing together researchers and trainees in cryptography, coding theory, quantum computing, and neighboring areas of applied algebra.
About the series
Applied Algebra Days is part of the broader RTG ecosystem in Applied Algebra at USF. Each edition brings together faculty, postdoctoral scholars, graduate students, and external participants for focused days of talks, discussion, and community-building.
Programs are built around active mathematical directions in cryptography, coding theory, computational algebra, and quantum information.
The workshops are designed not only to showcase research, but also to help build a durable Applied Algebra community at USF and beyond.
Students and postdocs benefit from exposure to current topics, leading researchers, and a welcoming workshop environment connected to the RTG.
Current edition
The upcoming edition of the AAD will feature talks and activities at the intersection of cryptography, coding theory, and quantum computing, with an emphasis on bringing together researchers across fields and career stages. It will interesect with our REU Site program, and the research themes featured will overlap with the projects offered this summer.
Visit the current-edition pages for the latest workshop description, scientific program, logistical information, code of conduct, and organizer contact details.
Archive
Past editions are archived through their scientific programs so visitors can get a sense of the workshop’s themes, speakers, and overall mathematical scope.
